Arbitration deals for Arizona
Per Jon Heyman, "Stephen Drew has $3.4 mil deal with #dbacks for 2010." This follows on the heels of yesterday's agreements with Aaron Heilman ($2.15m) and Chad Qualls ($4.185m).

Just saw it...
Jackson asked for $6.25 million and Arizona countered at $4.6 million when the sides exchanged figures Tuesday.
I’d imagine we’ll meet somewhere in the middle.

Hmmm...
I had heard about $5M in estimates. $6.25 seems lofty if we’re going to take this to arb. I imagine it’ll be closer to our number.

In an article I read
about Lincecum’s arbitration ($8m to $13m), they said – if they don’t deal ahead of time – an arbiter picks a number, no compromises. So the key is the midpoint – it’s the team’s job to prove he’s worth $1 less than midpoint, the agent’s job to prove he’s worth $1 more than the midpoint.
Jackson’s midpoint is $5.425mil…. so we’ll see.

He's worth less...
Based on the last couple of seasons (which arbitration looks at). It would be risky, but perhaps we try this?

My thoughts exactly.
$4.5M too. Poor, poor choices.
