Which players that have fallen off the ballot since 2000 deserve a look by the Veterans Committee? the first bit of info is why they were taken off the ballot low percentage=less than 5%, 15ed and out =15 years on ballot.
I can come up with a couple names:
Tommy John-15ed and out. 288 wins, very comparable to Blylevyn who is going to get in.
Vince Coleman-low percentage, 752 steals, 3-100 steal seasons, was leading in steals in 1990 (after Weaver)
John Wetteland-low percentage, lower WHIP, more saves, higher ERA+ than Sutter, 1994-1999 was epicenter of steroids era, faced tougher competition
Any I've left out?
Jim Kaat 15ed and out , comparable to John and Blylevyn, 283 wins
