D-Backs, Jackson avoid arbitration
"The Diamondbacks will avoid arbitration with left fielder Conor Jackson as the sides have agreed to a one-year deal worth $3.1 million. For Jackson, it represents a slight raise on the $3.05 million he made in 2009."

Like I told IHSB countless times :)
Arbitration money almost never decreases. I mean, here we have a guy who played like a ghost for a month, then was out for the season, and feared for his career, and he still got a raise.
That’s the reason why so many teams non tendered players this year. Even valuable players.
Le sigh
This pretty much makes me fail. Then again, our FO hates going to arbitration. The idea of telling an arbitrator that your player sucks and why you shouldn’t pay him what he wants.

It is a weird, weird practice
And it can develop animosity. I like the fact our FO would rather pay a bit more rather than do that.
So we COULD have paid him less than last year. ;) I'm just pulling your strings, don't worry.
