Prince Fielder doesn't like being hit with pitches

In last night's game against the Dodgers, Fielder was hit by a pitch in the ninth by Guillermo Mota. It was apparently intentional, retaliation for Manny getting brushed by one earlier, and Mota was ejected. But that wasn't enough for Fielder, who tried to get into the Dodgers clubhouse after the game to confront Mota. Good call, Prince. I'm sure that's the right way to handle it. Especially when, I don't know, there's a camera crew to capture it.

I'm sure Mota will get a fine and suspension, but I wonder if we'll see anything done to Fielder.

According to one thing I read

Fielder and Mota used to be good friends when Mota was with the Brewers. Might have been an issue.

But it’s pretty bullshit for the Dodgers to retaliate for an obvious unintentional HBP when you’re up by 13 runs.

Yeah

As one person put it, “Manny didn’t get hit by a pitch- Manny’s jersey got hit by a pitch.” But apparently, Russel Martin and Joe Torre feel it was very important to defend any perceived injury to Manny’s jersey.
