SnakePit Fantasy Baseball, Week 12

You could argue a good case that what we say over the weekend was fantasy baseball...for the Angels. Unfortunately, the rest of us [except perhaps GregSchulteOverdrive!] will have to take consolation from this week's SnakePit league results.

AZ SnakePit 4, Kapsaicin Kids 4
Blonde Streaks 5, Confederate Generals 5
GregSchulteOverdrive 0, Shoryukens! 10
Balco's Boys 1, The Fighting Amish 9

Week 12 Results

AZ SnakePit 4, Kapsaicin Kids 4
An even split, SnakePit taking four hitting points, Kids four hitting points, with one category in each (SB + Sv) ending tied. SnakePit got four HR from Hill, piling up 15 in total, while Ramirez scored six runs. Kids got crucial victories from Cueto and Weaver, and a tie seems fair.

Blonde Streaks 5, Confederate Generals 5
Another tie, Blonde edging things at the plate, but the Generals coming back to do the same on the mound. Suzuki (Blonde) and Kemp (Generals) were the only players with multi-homer weeks. Among pitchers, Greinke won two for the Generals, while Lincecum had a W and 12 K's for Blonde.

GregSchulteOverdrive 0, Shoryukens! 10
This one...not so tied. The first total sweep of the year, and really, it wasn't close, with Shor doubling or more Greg's total in most counting categories. Ramirez had a great week (3 HR, 15 RBI), while Kuroda got a W and 14 K's, and Street picked up three saves - all for Shor, of course.

Balco's Boys 1, The Fighting Amish 9
This was almost as one-sided, Sherrill's save leading to Balco's only point. Otherwise, it was entirely Amish, the televised game turning into a complete blowout. Three homers from Dye, and nine RBI by A-Rod powered the Amish offense, while Price had a W and six K.

Captain Douchebag 6, warlords 3
Captain bounced back from a string of losses, taking down war in a low-powered encounter, the sides combining for only six homers. Captain swept pitching with a shutout win and nine K's from Hernandez and a pair of Fuentes saves. Vazquez (W + 13 K) countered for war.

Arizona Muugens 1, 7-2 Offsuiters 8
Great pitching from 7-2 was key, posting a 2.03 ERA and 1.03 WHIP. Soria had a W + two Sv, while Nathan notched three saves. Muugens took BA, behind Werth's .474 average (he also had 3 HR), but that was their only victory, Kinsler (6 R, 2 SB) driving 7-2 to the win.

Wimboes Barmy Army 3, Baked 5
Hitting ended even, each side taking two categories, with SB tied: Uggla and Inge homered twice for Wimb. But Baked were better in pitching, posting a team 1.03 WHIP - Haren and Kershaw were their best arms this week, each striking out eight opponents.

Moving on Uptons 2, Desert Dingleberries 7
Is there life for Desert? After losing seven straight, they've taken two of three, by a margin of 19-10. Three HR and seven RBI by Branyan were the main force in their offense, while they also got a W and 10 K from Danks. Tallet had a W and 13 K for the Uptons.

Week 13 Games

AZ SnakePit vs. Moving on Uptons
Blonde Streaks vs. Kapsaicin Kids
GregSchulteOverdrive vs. Confederate Generals
Balco's Boys vs. Shoryukens!
Captain Douchebag vs. The Fighting Amish
Arizona Muugens vs. warlords
Wimboes Barmy Army vs. 7-2 Offsuiters
Desert Dingleberries vs. Baked

Shoryukens vs. Balco's Boys is the MLB Network Game of the Week. The two teams had almost completely opposing results last wee: Shor swept Greg 10-0, while Balco's lost 1-9 in the televised game - so either get a shot at redemption, or a second dose of humiliation. It's up to them... Maybe it'll end up as a tie, which is Shor's specialty - five of their twelve games so far have ended level.

This is about

my fifth game of the week.
Must be doing something right.
Unless you count accidentally leaving Dice-K and E. Santana in the Rotation.
Then I’m doing it horribly wrong, lol.

I gotta admit

I didn’t expect such a big win over Muu. But I’m not complaining.

that was just what the doctor ordered

A-Rod’s back, Price is finally getting rolling. Now I just need Liriano to put it together.
