Ok, got caught up in a whole bunch of things, which leaves me with little time to do much more than lob up a quick pre-game piece, as the Diamondbacks try to win their first home series for AJ Hinch. We'll be holding our breath for a bit, however, thanks to the presence of Jon Garland on the mound, who has this issue with pitching at Chase. I'll once again be listening on radio, though this should be our last night without cable and Internet. If not, I'll be calling down an air-strike on Cox... 'Charmer on the recap for tonight, so I'm sure we'll be maintaining the high standards of the past couple of days.

I...
…traded Webb immediately for Fielder, then traded E. Byrnes and another Dback for Braun. I picked up Holliday and Vlad on free agency and traded Snyder for Crawford (no idea how I got that). Halladay was free agency, as was Harden.
Halladay and Holliday on the same team

I think we could’ve gotten more for Shaq. We’re talking a huge expiring contract, an all-star and a big-time ticket seller all in one. If we wanted financial relief that badly, guess whose $17 million contract would’ve come off the books this summer? Our old buddy Shawn Marion.
This Amare trade looks good though, as long as it’s Biedrins/B Wright/Belinelli/Curry.

I was looking for one to adapt from elsewhere. Since I’m half Irish (Mom’s side) and half Scottish (Dad’s side), I was looking for a team in that region. The name Celtic jumped out. That’s the Reader’s digest version. I’m aware of the sectarianism that goes with the rivalry, but I steer as far as away of that as I can.

10th st. and Camelback Rd. in Central Phoenix called “Rosie McCaffrey” that hosts the Arizona Celtic Fan Club. For important matches, they’ll open at 6am on Sunday’s (if need be). I’ve been there a few times to watch matches live.
