Scott Schoeneweis's wife found dead in their house
According to Channel 12's News Twitter:
MCSO [Maricopa County Sheriff's Office] reports that the wife of Arizona Diamondback’s relief pitcher, Scott Schoeneweis, was found dead in their Fountain Hills Home.
Confirmed by a report on azfamily.com:
Gabrielle Dawn Schoeneweis, 39, was unresponsive when deputies arrived at the home about 12:11 p.m. Sheriff's Deputy Lindsey Smith said one of the couple's children called the sheriff's office. The 14-year-old told deputies she found her mother on the floor of the master bedroom. Schoeneweis was pronounced dead at the scene. The couple have four children. Detectives are investigating. The cause of death has not been determined.
Sheriff's spokesperson Lindsey Smith, said that there were no signs of foul play and they are not treating it as a homicide at this point but investigation is continuing. Team president Derrick Hall said "Words cannot describe how shocked and saddened we are this evening. This is a tragedy for the Schoeneweis family who we naturally consider members of our family. We are here to support Scott in any way during this traumatic period in his life."
Doug Davis said, “I was told about 30 minutes before I was about to go out. Obviously, our thoughts and prayers are with him. It is a tough time for not just him, but all of us and his family. It’s tragic.” Added manager AJ Hinch, “His world was just rocked. He and his kids, his family, his extended family, his in-laws, everybody’s lives are changed forever. He took it as expected, very hard. “We got him to the airport, got him on a flight, and he’s back with his family."
I'm just listening to a three-part interview with Gabrielle Schoeneweis, recorded last October:
Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3
She met Scott through their mutual hair-dresser in Scottsdale, and moved in together within three months, when he was a minor-leaguer. Our thoughts and sympathies are with Scott, their family and friends.

Kudos to Derrick
for his heartfelt and thoughtful statement on the matter.
There’s a lot of tragedy in the world, but you’d have to be pretty heartless not to feel terrible for his kids.

Many members of the team have written Schoeneweis’s number, 60, on their hats in support of the grieving teammate. A classy and touching tribute to the loss of a member of the Diamondbacks family.

I was
extraordinarily proud of our guys for that, especially for showing solidarity with a guy in his first year w/ the team.

It was a nice gesture
I noticed during the post-game that Hinch had it on his hat, too.

I’d like to say on behalf of BCB, that our thoughts and prayers are with the Schoeneweis family. Very sorry for his loss, and the terrible times that are ahead for himself, and his children. No person should have to live with such a loss, and it’s very saddening to hear.
Again, thoughts and prayers to the Schoeneweis family.

From a Rockies fan...
Very sorry to hear about this terrible tragedy. My thoughts and prayers are with the Schoenweis family. What a terrible thing for those close to her, first and foremost, and the Diamondback ballclub to have to endure, as well as the fans.
I live and die with the Colorado Rockies and the Denver Nuggets...

I'm late on this one
but I do have to offer my sincere and heartfelt condolences to the Schoeneweis family, the Dbacks organisation, and all friends, family, and fans affected by this. What an awful thing to have happen. :-(
I love Greg Reynolds and I may be slightly ashamed to admit it.
