Verducci Rule 2009: At-Risk Pitchers

Well, well, well. Look which pitchers in our division are at significant risk of injury and/or regression by the well known Verducci rule: Tim Lincecum (not surprisingly), Chad Billingsley, and Clayton Kershaw. This is EXACTLY what the Dbacks are trying to prevent from happening with Mad Max. Be sure to keep an eye on what happens to those three rival hurlers this season.

very reassuring to see TWO Dodgers starters on this list. I don’t expect the Giants to make much noise in the division, but seeing our main threat for the division crown have two pitchers targeted with a fairly accurate working hypothesis of regression and/or injury makes me feel better about my prediction of the DBacks winning the NL West.
