PrintThe first invites for the minor league have been sent out. Just like in the big boy's game, the league invitees are expected to claim their team here, with a cut off for Monday, March 2nd. If your interested in joining this league and didn't get on mine or Jim's initial list, leave your e-mail address and we'll send out another round of invites next Monday or Tuesday, and than just open it up for the public after that.
An official number hasn't been decided, but this years top winners (minus Budd By Proxy, Commissioner) will be moving up to the SnakePit League in 2010 ... So, come claim your spot, or your claim to a claim to a spot, and let's double up the fun (at half the price and a quarter the attendance in Reno :) ).

So, I am in 3 leagues, and Yahoo imported settings from my uber-competitive league. I have corrected this! All settings are the same as the Snakepit Major league, including openings for 20 invitees.

On that sunday ...
The only openings for Drafts were 7, 8, and 9 AM. I can change it for after the big leagues draft on Saturday night, or see if Yahoo has opened up any Sunday night draft slots.

One bit of housekeeping:
I did another Yahoo draft earlier this week and a few rounds we found out that Matt Wieters was not yet draftable in their system. Considering that many people have him as a top-100 player, it can be a bit of an advantage for the 16th team to draft. They can skimp on catcher knowing full well that a month or two from now they’ll be able to pick up a stud catcher for nothing – the fact that the benches are so deep only lessens the downside to this strategy.
I propose that we nominate Chris Burke as a Matt Wieters redemption voucher. You can draft him whenever you feel that you would normally draft Wieters. At that point he must be kept on your bench (no DL!) until either Wieters’ is called and you are automatically awarded the claim or trade him to another team. And of course you are not allowed to put Burke into your lineup, but let’s be honest, it’s not like anyone would willingly do that to their team.
