2010 Spring Training schedule announced.

Here's something to look forward to: Spring Training starts in less than four months. It'll be the last season for the Diamondbacks in Tucsom - ground was broken on the new spring training complex over in Scottsdale yesterday, and the facilities there will be in use for the 2011 pre-season [unless that whole troublesome poltergeist thing kicks in, as it tends to do when you build on Native American land...] The last hurrah for the Diamondbacks at Tucson Electric Park will be Tuesday, March 30th, against the Texas Rangers.

All told, there will be 15 home games at TEP, two games against the Rockies at Hi Corbett Field in Tucson and 15 games in the Phoenix-metro area, including two exhibition games to conclude the Cactus League schedule at Chase Field on April 2 and 3 against the Chicago Cubs. Weekend games in the Phoenix ares before then are March 6th vs. the Giants in Scottsdale, Sunday 14th (split-squad) vs. the Rangers in Surprise, Saturday 20th vs. the Mariners at Peoria, and Saturday 27th vs. the Indians in Goodyear.

Ticket prices for games at Tucson Electric Park are: Field Level Infield $18; Covered Mezzanine $16; Field Level Grandstand $14; Lower Bleachers $9; Upper Bleachers $7; Lawn seats $5. Tickets for all "home" games go on sale in person from the TEP ticket office, at 9am, on Jan. 23. Beginning 11 am, Jan. 23, tickets can also be bought only at dbacks.com or by calling the D-backs ticket office (866.672.1343). The exhibition games against the Cubs at Chase Field go on sale with the remainder of the regular-season home games on March 6.

The full schedule can be found after the jump.

a spring training snakepit fest?

This is the last year the Dbacks are going to be in Tucson, and I feel like we should have a funeral.. lol. but yeah, a get together would be quite bueno.

Yeah

I’d be down, depending on the date.

How much will the ticket prices jump when they move up to Scottsdale, I wonder?

Can somebody please throw away this telephone?

Well, they have to pay for all the wine and cheese...

Definitely up for a Tucson game. I’m thinking a Sunday contest, later in the month (so we see more of the “real” players!) – that would look like the 21st or 28th March. Plenty of time to plan a bit nearer the date, but am certainly on board.

I'd be down for that

and a sunday would probably work better for Emily what with school and all.

That's

what I was thinking as well, weekends are easier for me to plan around.

Im on board without a doubt if its in the phoenix area.

Weekends are better for me as well since I don’t have a car and wont have transportation until 6:30 on weekdays. However by march that could change.
