AFL Get-together v2.0

I mentioned this in the recap after the last AFL get-together, but I think it got largely ignored. We have a bunch of free tix for next Wednesday night's game at Scottsdale Stadium, between the Mesa Solar Sox and our Scottsdale Scorpions. First pitch is 6:35pm. If anyone wants some, send me an email with your snail-mail address and how many you want, and I'll pop them in the post.

That's the best approach, since we might not be getting there much before first pitch, but if you just want to show up and buy your way in, that's fine too! I imagine we'll be lurking behind the Scorpions dugout, in a similar way to where we were in Goodyear [though as Scottsdale is the 'home' team, it might be the other side]. Last chance for pro-ball this year, so hope to see some of you there!

Still there

Though this may come as a surprise to the Postal Service. Also, I just realized that this reply may be too late to receive the tickets in time. If that’s the case then thank you for the friendly offer anyway.

Took the risk

And send them there yesterday. :-) I’ve got plenty of spares, so if you don’t get ’em, we can likely meet you at the park.

I wish I could be there...

But I just don’t think I’ll be making it and I am really disappointed, as I have been wanting to meet the gang in person. Money problems have been looming for a while, to the point where a second job may be my only option for a while. A snafu with SRP screwed my bank account up and now I am trying to worm my way out of the hole so it just may be a while unfortunately.

Sorry to hear that.

Hopefully, you get it all sorted in time for Spring 2010!

Let me chat with the Lady

and I’ll see if we can make it. Though you may have to meet me somewhere or stash the ticks under a rock for me.

I laugh until my head comes off.

If anyone else wants to show up

We’ll be outside the main gate at 6:15pm, scalping any remaining tickets “Front-row seats. Buying or selling…” :-) You’ll know me – if you don’t already – by the #17 SnakePit jersey.

Hey Jim

haven’t seen the tickets yet; sent you an email about it.

Can somebody please throw away this telephone?

Well, I went

But I’m confused. Where was Oeltjen?

That was fun

Thanks to everyone who showed up. Hope the frostbite didn’t set in too hard. A great deal of fun. Though what is it with poor Brandon Allen: if it’s not Justin castigating him for a strikeout, it’s mrssoco and Mrs. SnakePit debating his position on the chart of Diamondbacks hotties, as he stands ten feet away in the on-deck circle…

Sorry, Brandon – I’ll try to keep them in check better next time!

Ah

So that’s why Snakepitfest ’10 will have to be seated at least 100 feet from first base….

See my problem?

This is why it is entirely good I usually have like an entire deck between me and CoJack/Trent (Who will be coming back. Campaign starts now!) I am not allowed near professionals! My mouth opens and words come out which later I catch up on and am like, “IN PUBLIC? I said that?”

It took till two this morning to completely dethaw. Lord. My fingers are icicles!

Give me a second, I can bring this back to Trent Oeltjen.
