I have no question about a guy's wheels or even his glove
he’s gonna learn that stuff as he goes along and gets more games under his belt. What is a concern is his arm. No doubt he’s got a gun, he has a problem shooting straight. I don’t think the skill of throwing the ball in a straight line to a cutoff man should be beyond him at this stage, just like he was a shortstop throwing the ball to a first baseman, you trust your infielder to line you up and if the throw is good, no one yells cut and maybe you get someone trying to advance. Otherwise, you keep runners from advancing and the ball doesn’t end up in the dugout as often. It’s not epidemic with him, many times he executes it without a problem, but I think there are times where he does get caught up in the moment and tries to do too much.
I used to be disgusted, now I try to be amused....
