Possible 2009 WS Scenario
Ok, now this is only me thinking out loud, though I have discussed this with my inner circle, but I'd like to get your feedback, thoughts and more thoughts on this possible scenario. No matter how hard it seems to imagine/think of, there is a good possiblity that the LA Dodgers and the NY Yankees will be facing off in the 2009 World Series. I know many of you just now threw up on yourself or started bleeding from your ears so please clean yourself up and gain your composure. Better now ? So if this post season does unfold this way what do you do ? Who do you go for ? Do you watch the Series ? Do you watch and throw things at the TV and cross your arms like a 4 yr old who didn't get dessert after dinner ? Do you set yourself on fire in protest ? I mean help me out ladies and gentlemen......... and skins. I've decided that I will watch for two reasons. 1. I like baseball and even though I hate the teams, I like baseball. 2. I hope to Allah that Manny loses his dreds in a lmfao type incident during one of the games in the Series. Like seriously, what if somehow his hair got caught in something or caught on fire ?
What will you do ?

In that case
I’m probably just not going to watch- time to focus on football and hockey.

Hockey is cool
I’m not into the NFL tho.

Doomsday scenario
It won’t be getting any attention from me. I still have three DVD box-sets of Drive-In Cult Classics I need to get through, featuring such movies as They Saved Hitler s Brain and Blood Mania. I think those will be hit pretty heavily instead.

The "hair on fire" scenario
actually received a chuckle from me. Without a doubt, though, I’d be rooting for New York all of the way if LA played them in the Series.

I'd watch Private Practice
before I’d watch that WS. And that show is freaking terrible.

I'd find something else to watch
but probably slightly rooting for the Dodgers. I’d want Manny to fail, but the Yankees….the Yankees are the team I hate the most in baseball.
I guess someone else in the NL West should win it. I guess.

Yeah, the Yankees
But Manny. And Joe Torre. And Jonathon Broxton.
I just couldn’t cheer for either team.

Yeah,
it’s not a cheering for. More a…cheering more against the Yankees than the Dodgers.
by emilylovesthedbacks on Oct 14, 2009 1:14 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
You see that's the problem
The Yankees, I mean that’s easy. We all hate the Yankees (Except Wailord, now we all hate him too.) But the Dodgers are our NL rival. That’s why this possible scenario is so confusing.
I laugh until my head comes off.

I'll just not watch
and act like it isn’t happening.
I mean, in my head, the 2009 Diamondbacks never happened and they swept the Dodgers in the NLDS and are facing the Cardinals in the NLCS.
Yeah. I’ll just go with my imagination. Mom always said it was important.

Dude.
The 2009 Diamondbacks were so awesome….

Hey
I don’t like the Yankees at all and along with the rest of the non-New Yorkan world think that their payroll scheme is ridiculous and unfair. But… the Dodgers? I just… can’t. It’s not doable. Whether it’s their pretty-boy jerseys, Manny, Broxton, Torre, Ethier, Hudson… just… ugh.

Believe it or not,
I’m almost leaning towards the Yankees too…. I just despise the Dodgers THAT much.
Hopefully, it’ll be Angels-Phillies, and I won’t have to make that decision.

I'm shocked, shocked
to find out that my dad’s going for Dodgers. (Was talking about baseball with him through text and just found this out.)
This….is….wrong.

He's a Mets fan as of right now.
He grew up as Brooklyn Dodgers fan until 1957, following them for a bit soon after the Dodgers moved to LA. He wasn’t into Yankess until the early ’60s.

Maybe I’ll root for the Dodgers when Kershaw pitches. That’s it.
