Fan Fest: February 7th
It's official...
The Arizona Diamondbacks announced today they will host the fifth annual Fan Fest on Feb. 7 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. The free event will include autographs and photograph sessions, memorabilia and sports card sales, and interactive games and opportunities with current players, coaches, alumni and broadcasters on the field at Chase Field. Fans can also purchase season tickets during the event through the Select-A-Seat program, which will highlight available seats for the upcoming season throughout the ballpark.
D-backs personalities scheduled to attend include players Doug Davis, Stephen Drew, Dan Haren, Conor Jackson, Miguel Montero, Augie Ojeda, Mark Reynolds, Max Scherzer, Chris Snyder, Chad Tracy, Justin Upton and Chris Young, manger Bob Melvin, bench coach Kirk Gibson and pitching coach Bryan Price. D-backs alumni Jay Bell, Matt Williams, Reggie Sanders, Omar Daal and Kelly Stinnett, along with broadcasters Daron Sutton, Mark Grace, Greg Schulte, Tom Candiotti, Jeff Munn, Miguel Quintana and Oscar Soria are also slated to appear. All participants are subject to change without notice.
Autograph sessions will require a $5 donation to the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation and will be limited in quantity. Players will also participate in photo sessions.
In addition to the Select-A-Seat program, fans will have the chance to purchase D-backs mini-plans at the Fan Fest. Both 10-packs and six-packs will be available in multiple seat locations, and this will be the first opportunity for fans to purchase the best seats to the best games before the single-game ticket on-sale on March 7. Sports 620 KTAR will also broadcast live from the Fan Fest throughout the day.
Other D-backs Fan Fest highlights include:
- D-backs home clubhouse tours
- Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation "Yard Sale" and D-backs’ wives silent auction
- Family Fun Zone featuring D-backs speed pitch and T-ball inflatables and interactive inflatables
- D-backs Training Centers Wiffle ball fields and clinics and a baseball skills area, which will feature groundball and fly ball drills and the 90-foot dash

I'd say so.
I like the idea of meeting somewhere for a late lunch. Suggestions?

Gotta be a classy place
so I’m nominating Denny’s.
Please, say that you care, or say that you think that I'm... beautiful.
Woah woah woah
I didn’t suggest IHOP here. Though funnily enough, IHOP has better food than Denny’s, at a lower price.
Please, say that you care, or say that you think that I'm... beautiful.
Actually...
Nowadays, for the most part, he’s right. At the very least, Denny’s has ballooned up so much that the two chains are very comparable. It’s kinda like how McDonald’s used to be cheap, but somewhere in the past five years they picked up Arby’s prices.
There isn't onme downtown though.
There’s a couple of p[laces I am trying to remember the names of…..

There's a fine Scottish restaurant I'm aware of.
It’s called “MacDonald’s” or something like that.
Ceci n'est pas une signature.
Would explain
the kilts they were wearing..

Classy?
Sounds like we should grab some Jack-in-the-Box tacos.

For some Real Class
There’s a strip club on 7th and Indian School that serves a really good lunch…
might be a tad of an issue for those with little kids. since this is not Europe, heaven forbid someone sees a naked breast before they were 30

Oooh!!
Classy! There’s a reason they call it a “Gentlemen’s Club”, right?
Oh…. and how do you know how good their lunch service is?

There’s a Jack in the Box next door to the place I mention. Got all the bases covered.

IIRC,
mrssoco isn’t as big a fan of the JBox as we are, which is why soco only goes when she’s outta town. ::whip cracking sound::

Heck
If Jbox is good enough to open shop on Mars, it can’t be that bad…

It doesn't help
that there is no Jack in the Box that is convienent for me to frequent. Too many wine and cheese places around my area that it’s impossible to get the lesser known fast foods to find a place.
Please, say that you care, or say that you think that I'm... beautiful.
Awww.
Poor soco.

I've only ate
at a few places downtown, and most were unremarkable as well as not being close to the park.
Please, say that you care, or say that you think that I'm... beautiful.
As far
as I know the wife and I will be there being molested by players and mascots alike. I’d be open to eating food in an organized manner in a social setting outside Chase Field.
