Waiting for official confirmation, but word is that FanFest at Chase this year is going to take place Saturday February 7th, presumably with much the same format as last season. Should be a lot of fun, and might be a good chance for the first SnakePit Fest of 2009, if anyone wants to go. More details, as and when.

A Saturday.
Well, there’s a chance I could be there. I know the event happening hinges on my participation, so there you go.

On the Tucson front....
….if I can go, I’ll have to let Wes know as well. I’m pretty sure we’re the only Tucson ’Pit regulars though.

We'll be there
so the wife can get groped by another baseball player and never stop talking about it.
You keep on rowin', and I'll keep on smilin'.

As on enthusiastic Conor Jackson fan to another
I say this: eeeee! Jealous!
If complete and utter chaos was lightning, he'd be the sort to stand on a hilltop in a thunderstorm wearing wet copper armour and shouting 'All gods are bastards'.

It’s the law of averages. You can grope her anytime, but how often is someone groped by a genuine baseball player. It’s more concentrated.

We shall call this....
….the “Concentrated Baseball Player Grope Theory”. Maybe if we win the Nobel Prize, we can donate the cashmoney to the Dbacks to sign a new starter.

Oh, and I even live in town
What’s the story with these? What time do they normally do them, do they charge entry, etc.?

The best bet
Is to see last year’s report, since I assume it’ll be much the same. Starts around 10am, there’s no charge to get in; from what I recall it was $5 per autograph ticket, with two players at each table. You have to queue for those though, and we couldn’t be bothered. The best thing is the yard sale, where the team sell off all manner of old stuff, from crockery to banners of players who’ve been traded. That’s where we got our Player Who Shall Not Be Named bobblehead…

Get lunch or something? Like a pre-Snakefest/Fun time with people!
We are going.

That's kinda what we were thinking
Maybe somewhere a few blocks from the park [since anywhere too close will likely be rammed!] for lunch. Ideally, somewhere that serves beer. ;-)

I would be all for that
I’ll have to work out a few scheduling issues before hand, since mrskishi normally works Saturday mornings, but I would be all up for meeting and hanging out with folk.

I went to last years and it was a blast...
… they had that pitching accuarcy game out front, almost down the street near US airways, where if you threw three baseballs into this little square frame you’d win a free dback jersey. My brother did it and I remember basically sh*tting my pants at the feet, even though we got rewarded with this cheap, walmart bought classic black jersey. It was herculean!!
Yes, I'm a Diamondback and Suns fan. So you may be wondering, "Why does this fool like the Broncos so much?"
A: The Cardinals are too hard of a pill to swallow. Oh yeah and that Elway dude....
