Two things that would have made this comeback sweeter:

1. If Eric Gagne had blown the save instead of pitching a scoreless 8th.

2. If I hadn’t given up on the game after the 8th.

If I recall correctly, it was Chad Tracy that got the hit off Gagne to break his long streak of saves several years ago.

You’re one of many that gave up on this game. This bunch hasn’t given anyone reason to believe they had it in them to stage such a comeback. Nevertheless, it was nice to see!

Just watched the replay

If I’d thought about it, I could have become a deity in Mrs. SnakePit’s eyes, by not telling her it was a re-run, and “forecasting” the comeback as it happened…. However, I blew that one by my wild exuberance this afternoon. Amazing stuff. I think ‘Game of the Year’ is already in the bank,

And as if to commemorate, the rain is now pouring down here in Scottsdale.
