Reynolds breaks bone in left hand?
Mark Reynolds broke a bone in his left (non-throwing) hand. This may be the reason we saw him at first base last night against the Brewers.
This raises a couple of questions if the injury forces him to the DL. Who gets the majority of the AB's at 3rd? Ojeda? Tracy? I am afraid this injury leads to the Burke/Salazar/Romero black hole in left. Tracy/Ojeda at 3rd with CoJack sticking at 1B.
Our struggling offense can't afford to have Reynolds out of the lineup. This might force us to make a move.

Can you claim a source on this?
I have two sources on Yahoo claiming an MRI revealed no fracture… wrist, testicle, or otherwise.

Your link speaks of an MRI taken on the right and left wrists, I have been told the break is in his left hand.
I have no official link but just heard from a guy who has been right before so you can take it with a grain of salt. With Reynolds getting his first action at 1B of the year last night I just figured there might be something more to it besides the short bench.

Not discounting what you've heard
Just wondering if there was a linkable story or some other sign of confirmation.

No offense taken at all
This is the internet and this is second hand information that is clearly just a rumor at best.
I hope what I was told was wrong as the last thing we need is to have Reynolds banged up. But in any case Reynolds is a tough, gritty ballplayer who is obviously trying to play through some pain (wrists, hands, etc.) at the current time when the team needs his bat the most.

Just for the moment
I’ve put a ”?” on the end of the subject line, until we get confirmation or otherwise on this matter.

Reynolds undergoes MRI on wrist

The Arizona Republic
The Diamondbacks’ already-lengthy medical report grew by another name Wednesday as third baseman Mark Reynolds underwent an MRI exam on his left wrist, but the club did receive some good news about catcher Chris Snyder.
After initially believing that Snyder would need surgery for the left testicular fracture that landed him on the disabled list Tuesday, manager Bob Melvin said Snyder will not undergo a procedure.
“That’s good news,” Melvin said. “The timetable will still be the same; it will still be a two-week period. He’ll be back at the end of the All-Star break.”
Snyder was struck by a foul ball in the fourth inning of Monday night’s game.
Reynolds was hit on the arm by a line drive in the first inning Tuesday night. He underwent an MRI on Wednesday that did not reveal a fracture. Melvin held him out of the lineup as a precaution.
Melvin said the club isn’t sure about the extent of right-hander Edgar Gonzalez’s injury. He’s on the 15-day disabled list because of a right-elbow strain and has undergone an MRI, but Melvin said multiple opinions are being sought.
Right-hander Juan Cruz, who had been limited by an oblique injury, felt better, Melvin said, and was expected to be available to pitch Wednesday night.
“It just seems like when these things happen, they happen in bunches at times,” Melvin said. “It has to us. But there’s no excuses. Everybody has to go through a rash of injuries at some time during the season. It’s something we have to deal with right now.”
"It's like deja vu all over again."
