dude I dont care
France could give every American free cheese every day for the rest of our existence and I will still give the French crap. They’re an easy target and they’re widely mocked by most of the world.

birth of democracy
La revelucion is considered “modern” democracy

I don't believe that's true, either,
since the American Revolution came before the French Revolution, and the Constitution was ratified the same year as the Bourbons were overthrown.
It IS true that the American, French, and Polish Revolutions are often grouped together as all being part of one consistent liberal democratic movement, though.
Mark Reynolds: back to turning me gay.
The American one
is considered the rebirth of the “Republic” whereas the French were more of a “pure” democratic process. According to this little pink book that I despise.

The Dbacks one.
I thought it was a local commercial at first, then I realized that it’s a network ad.
Awesome.
Mark Reynolds: back to turning me gay.
Among other things,
the Rockies are not locked in a tight division race with the Dbacks, the way the BoSox and Rays are. Also, Webb is older and more experienced than Kazmir and can probably handle the extra workload better than Kazmir can. Remember that Webb has pitched something like the most innings in the NL over the last 3 years.

Was surprised to find this game going on as I came into work this morning :O looks like I missed an epic :(
So...time for another drink then?
The only thing epic was the length
it was more a lesson in ineptitude in a lot of ways. The AL had the bases loaded at one point with no outs and didn’t plate a run, with no strikeouts!
By all means hit at a glacial pace. You know how that thrills me.
Anything
That makes Bud Selig shift uncomfortably in his seat – particularly as a result of a jackass decision like “This time, it counts” – is alright by me. Let’s just hope Webb isn’t affected by having to pitch, but his next start on Sunday would be back on regular rest. So fingers crossed. If he isn’t alright, I will be pissed.

I still think

Mark Reynolds: back to turning me gay.
by DbacksSkins on Jul 16, 2008 12:40 PM EDT up reply actions
I think there was plenty of uncomfortable shifting in seats last night- particularly since each manager had to run out a pitcher who pitched 100+ pitches two days earlier, and wasn’t supposed to pitch tonight- and in each case, said pitcher was the manager’s division rival’s ace.
And, since this time it counts, they couldn’t even let it end in a tie. Which means, according to this article, we were close to having someone like Evan Longoria and Nate McLouth as the pitchers of record. How stupid would that have been?
"Evil lurks everywhere, often in plain sight... Can you lurk in plain sight? Or is that just walking?"
By the way,
just HOW much did Dan Uggla suck last night?
0-4, 3Ks, 1 GIDP, 6 LOB, and 3 errors.
That’s gotta rank up there among the worst ASG performances/debuts in beisbol history.
