Diamondbacks Tickets - Cheap!
Our thanks go to Mike in the Diamondbacks ticket office, who has set up a special offer for SnakePit readers, offering up to 50% off D-backs tickets to selected games in August and September. The link to our mini-ticket office is below, and can also be found in the side-bar:

There are some half-price tickets available for a few Tuesday games (those look like particularly good seats, so we might be taking advantage!) and you can also save on one of the always-popular Friday fireworks games, as well as a Sunday game against the Braves.

Wow, I wish I still lived in Arizona. I’d be all over this.
Where have you gone Mike Fetters?

I can get the same (if not better) seats in the “MVP Box” portion of the 3rd deck for $1 less than the “half-off” Diamond level seats for any game I want to go to.

Sorry, is there a point to this?
1) Are you offering these to all SnakePit readers?
2) Third deck? You’re better off playing MVP Baseball.
3) The half-off tickets here are also on the lowest level, not just the Diamond-level.

Yes, there's a point.
The MVP Box of the 3rd deck is the first few rows. The seats are in the same location as the $60 diamond level, but like 8 feet higher. The point is that people don’t have to choose from 6 games. Anyone could go to any game they want for $1 less than the same “deal” and sit in seats that are similar in viewing angle to the diamond level seats.
Have you ever sat in the MVP Box?
Did I say the lower level seats were a bad deal? I’ve never sat in those sections, so I really don’t know.

Do tend to agree with you on the Club Level seats
The pricing of those always struck me as bizarre – more expensive than the lower-level seats, closer to the field? I know they’re a bit “posher”, but our first, last and everything is the game on the field, and the closer we can be to that, the better.
Not sat in the MVP Box seats – I can imagine they could well be better value than the Club level ones immediately below, if you had to pay full-price, but we just can’t stand the upper decks. Like I said, I find the experience there. regardless of section, is more like watching a video game – I’d happily pay an extra buck for the half-price seats on the Club level, even without all their amenities. To each their own though.

Biggest difference
is probably the fact that don’t the Diamond level seats come with waiters?

The Diamond level waiters ignore me.
So, I think this game is somewhere on the East Coast, and I'm pretty sure someone mentioned that this time it counts. What it counts for, I'm still not sure. Also, there are some pretty good players in this one. Some of the best, I think.

They can't see you.
You’re too tall. They think you’re actually sitting in the upper deck.

yeah, okay...
I’m thinking it has something to do with the fact that I’m a teenage girl, and those tickets are my friend’s family’s season tickets…so there are two teenagers sitting in those seats, and they assume we can’t afford 7 dollar chicken fingers (which are so good, and pretty much my ballpark food of choice now…)

Well
let’s not everyone stand up all at once….
Anyway, if anyone wants to attend any of these games, email me, and I’ll send you the order form for the reduced-price tix.

Liz wants to see the Padres
I want to see the Pirates, so we’ll see the Giants most likely. Oooo, if I could find a New York Giants throwback hat before then…

We can see the Pirates
I don’t care. I was just saying, it would be cool to see the Padres.
