When Droughts seem to be over
You can see the clouds full of rain miles away. Here in the state of Arizona those clouds have arrived but have the metaphorical clouds filled the Diamondbacks' sky. During the last couple of games we've seen double digit numbers in hits. This gives us hope or at least a little sign of life, that the on-going slump of the snakes might be over. But this is not the fist time (you might agree with me) that the Diamondbacks have shown sign of life just so they can be put to death again. My fellow Fanmates doesn't it get tiring of seeing this go on and on.it's like stepping on to false ground.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cautiously optimistic
VERY cautiously. ;-) As you say, I’ve sat through too many false dawns before, where the team has seemed on the verge of a breakthrough, only to turn around the next day and deliver a stinker of a performance. However, in the past 14 games, they’ve scored 60 runs – compared to only 42 in the previous fourteen, and 50 in the fourteen before that. In addition, they’ve reached ten hits or more more often than not over that time.
Maybe it’s just wishful thinking on my part, but the quality of the at-bats seems to be getting a bit better too. I still think the outfield lineup – outside of the valiantly substituting Jackson – is very weak offensively, and I look forward to seeing Snyder back behind the plate [with an extended cup, I believe!] soon too: Hammock is about as good at the plate as Burke. However, the worst may be over?
But I won’t start to really believe that until we have put together a winning streak of at least three games – we haven’t done that since May 16. Still, with consecutive games featuring starts from our ace Webb, tomorrow in Philadelphia and then next Friday against the Dodgers [and that’s going to be a very crucial series], now is as good a time as any to start!
Welcome to the ‘Pit, too!

If Lyon and Pena never blew those leads against Washington,
the offense never would have scored 5 and 10 in the next two games. A blessing in disguise.
The dynasty that should be the Arizona Diamondbacks.

My Signature at DBBP
AZ last 10 games: 5-5, 3.9 R/G, .672 OPS
When they avg 4.5 R/G or .750 OPS over a 10 game period then they’ve turned it around

Small sample size, but...
The 25 runs over the past four games is the most by the Diamondbacks in any four-game stretch, since they scored 27 from April 18-21. So now, by your measure, they need to score 20 runs in six games against the Dodgers and Cubs after the break…

First come the "good ABs",
then come the hits, then come the runs, then come the wins.
We’ve got #1 and #2 improving significantly lately, and #3 is just barely starting to pick up.
C’mon, #4!!

Which point do you get the money, the power, and the women, though?
