Come on, Drew!
(Seriously, we need a nickname for this guy.)

Daron's came up with "Dirt"
but I don’t like it…

What about
Clint (=Eastwood=the man with no name). Or is that a stretch?
Wolf is the nickname that has been proposed. It’s a lousy nickname for a guy who looks like he’s 14… ahhh… so perhaps TEEN wolf??

What about
the Wolfboy?

I'm preparing the divorce papers as we speak

Their pitcher...
had walked 3 in 10 innings this season before tonight….glad he saved this many for us.
Bring in Carlos Marmol!

Who's...
pitching for us tomorrow?

Oh, seriously
I look at the profile picture on Gameday of this pitcher, and between him and Drew, I feel like it’s a little league game.

All we need
is Tim Lincecum and Juan Pierre and we could start a team.

Except
Juan Pierre would probably get cut from a little league team.

The Frys Grocers' Cubs?

Last I read, he was going to take radioactive iodine pills that were supposed to track down and kill off any bits of the cancer that remained.

That's pretty hardcore

Yeah, seriously. They were saying that he’s actually going to be radioactive for a few days, so people will be limited in the time they can spend with him, and they’ll have to get checked with a Geiger counter after they visit.

On the plus side...
He won’t need to turn the light on when he goes to the bathroom… :-)

I guess then we could actually have our pitchers bitten by a radioactive Doug Davis…

Then ALL the games would take 4 hours though

I think that happens at 6 months
He has to start taking the hormone pills that replace his thyroid

No
That’s different. That’s the hormone. He’s still taking radiative therapy pills to kill off any remnant of the cancer.

Apropos of nothing
I was watching “Dancing with the Stars” tonight; and Jason Taylor did an outstanding Paso Doble to the theme from “Monday Night Football”. Hey, it was terrific. And his dance partner wore Miami Dolphins colors.

Well, obviously
The dance was fun, tho.
