What do you think?

I'm thinking about putting considerable money (80 cents) on the DBacks today. Am I too confident about tonights game? Someone tell me I'm a smart man or a complete idiot. Talk me down from the ledge or encourage me to climb higher. I don't have the confidence to do this on my own. Help me out here. This is a must have bragging rights bet, if this tanks then life will go on but I'll feel like an idiot for a day or two. Any comments pro or con would help me in my decision.

buy low, sell high type of guy…. I think you’re “buying” high with Micah tonight—He’s had 3 great starts… which is why – considering the law of averages…. he’s due for a poor start.

your following of the law of averages also implies that the Giants are due to stop sucking at SOME point?

They've not been so bad

7-5 over the last twelve games. including series wins against the Padres and St. Louis.

Of course, whether this means they are likely to continue being decent, or about due to regress to expected levels of suckiness… That’s why we have horse-races. :-)
