Even the Denver Post loves the Dbacks
The Denver Post has a quick article as to why the Dbacks are going to win the west. So not it is not only the national media but the local media in Colorado.....how great is this?

Haha!
I like the Denver Post. They’re also the daily that took a potshot at Tracy Ringolsby for his idiotic anti-Dbacks propaganda. I know I’ve posted it before, but it’s just too good not to. (Under the footnotes)
I quote:
The media portrayal of the Diamondbacks’ three-game sweep of the Rockies by some columnists is laughable. Anyone who was in their clubhouse during that opening homestand at Coors Field knows that the club didn’t feel it had exacted any revenge for the Rockies’ NLCS sweep. It’s often forgotten that the Diamondbacks have won a World Series (2001). Why exactly would they feel a need to prove themselves to the Rockies? Talk to the Arizona players and they will tell you that their first week legitimatized them as the division force. Nothing more. . . .(Emphasis added)
"I was tied to a chair and he had a baseball bat. Pissing him off was the smart thing to do."

2001 is kind of a non sequiter
as none of the players on the team now sans Randy Johnson were apart of that team. I don’t think the Diamondbacks were celebrating like they won the pennant after the sweep (with big gaudy rings and three days of festivities) but I’m sure they felt it was the first step in vindication.
The boys in Sedona Red slugged it out with a pretty pesky poltergeist, then stayed on to dance the night away with some of the lovely ladies who witnessed the disturbance.

I’m only a fan, of course – but if Arizona takes the next twelve from Colorado and goes on to win the World Series while the Orckies finish with the worst record in the majors, that would be, oh, a satisfactory first installment on the revenge plan. One series sweep? In April? Barely an appetizer.
