Opening Day Poll: YOU PLAYING HOOKIE?

So the 2008 season starts for our boys in just a few hours. My quick question to all of you is ... how many of you are skipping work to watch the game today?

I have the luxury of "working" from home today ... so I am definitely in the hookie column and I can't wait!

I live out East and dished out the cash for the Extra Innings package this year - so I will get to actually watch the game on a TV instead of dealing with the eleventy-billion problems mlb.tv always has this time of year.

So vote in the poll and tell everyone how you plan on following the game today!

Took the day off

As noted yesterday; I'll have to be following Wednesday and Thursday's games from a very small window at the bottom of my screen. As I recall, the Yahoo scoreboard can be shrunk down very nicely. :-)

But for today, I'm all set. Laptop is charging in the living-room, and I'll be there from first pitch. Gameday Thread will be going up shortly.

A normal game time for me.
I don't work anyway so I'm playing hooky from the washing up to get into the spirit of the thing.

I was supposed to work.

I volunteered a couple weeks ago not realizing the significance of March 31st. But I got a call this morning saying my services would not be needed, so here I am.
