Doug Davis has Thyroid Cancer
Hall said Davis is planning to make his scheduled start at Chase Field tonight but will address the media at some point today, either before or after.
Davis is expected to make his next few starts, Hall said, before undergoing surgery sometime within the next three weeks.
"We're not sure about the timetable after that," Hall said. "We're deeply saddened and concerned for Doug but we're still in the process of collecting facts and applying that to timing."

Doug Davis
Cancer is a very serious subject and plenty of times curable. I hope and pray that this is Doug and his family's situation.
God only gives you what you can handle. I pray for the Davis family's grace and intense healing.
God Bless us all.

He'll be back soon
Found some comforting words: "The bottom line, most thyroid cancers are papillary thyroid cancer, and this is one of the most curable cancers of ALL cancers that humans get. As we often tell our patients, if you must choose a type of cancer to have, papillary cancer would be your choice. Treat it correctly and the cure rate is extremely high!"
