On a whim, Mrs. SnakePit applied for the job of Director of Advertising & Marketing with MLB Networks. She got a (not entirely unexpected) rejection letter, but the interesting thing is that it appears they won't be filling the position at all. More evidence the economy slow-down is hurting baseball?

For PR purposes,
it probably sounds better to just keep from filling the positions they have open, rather than lay people off.
