ESPN Poll - Weekend results

Friends:

The Diamondbacks are getting hammered in the ESPN poll for this weekend's game and postseason results. While people are voting for them for the NL West, they are forgotten in the "Strongest going into the playoffs" and TRAILING EVERYONE BUT THE BREWERS in the "Your pick for the WS" category.

Vote. Tell your friends to vote. I know it means nothing. But there's honor at stake here.

We're moving up a bit now...
3rd in 'Strongest in the NL', also overtaken the Mets and Padres and tied with the Rockies, as far as World Series choice goes. But the Phillies #1 there, with the Yankees and Red Sox second and third? Ah, forgot that the "E" in ESPN stands for 'East-coast biased'.

Here in the UK
One of our baseball commentators tipped the D'backs to get to the post-season.He was lightly mocked but is looking smart now.
We will meet in Red 3 at the hour of scampering.

Funny
I have to laugh that the Rockies are currently rated second in the "Strongest in the NL" question, but only 14.9% think they'll win the division, and only 31.5 think they'll take the Wild Card.
I'm not superstitious- it's bad luck.

WTF
How are the Phillies the winning pick for the WS, but not in the playoffs in the other poll questions?

We're also getting no respect in the power ranking
9th, behind COLORADO, Padres, Philies and barely edging out the Braves in terms of NL teams.

at this point I'm kind of glad
I'd love to see this team get a bit of a chip on their shoulder going into the playoffs instead of a "just glad we're here" attitude.

I really didn't think we'd be in this position this year, but now that we're here, I feel like we've got to jump on the opportunity.  You only get so many post season opportunities and this might be the weakest NL we see in years.

No reason why not
19-11 record against the Cubs, Phillies and Padres this year, the three most-likely NL teams we'll face. None of that trio beat us this year.

Skins and I talked about this a bit...
...in the GameDay thread. We're also ranked behind the Tigers, the slowly-melted-down-and-missed-the-playoffs-a-week-ago Tigers. Just an atrocity of errors overall.

shockingly
we're not exactly cleaning up on their "rank the playoff teams" poll either:

Well, I mean, it's not like
we have the best record in the National League, or anything like that.

Wait...

Okay, so it's not like the NL West had the best win % of any division in baseball.

Whoa... what's that you say...?

Come on, Sandy Baby, loosen up. You're too tight.
