Tony Clark

Doing what he does best. Come off of the bench and hit a HR. That is the role I hope he continues in. Let Jackson, Tracy, and Reynolds get the starts. I wouldn't mind the Dbacks offering Clark at job with the organization after the season. He is a class guy and a good baseball guy. I would love to see him pass some of his class on to young guys coming through the organization. Any thoughts?

In the post game interview, it certainly appears that he is a very positive influence in the clubhouse. Id like him staying around.

It's such a young team and I don't think management handle them very well so a steady veteran can only be a good thing.As long as he is happy not getting every start.

With money the way it is these days, I'd be surprised if Tony doesn't try to stay around for a couple more years in the bigs. But whenever he's done, I'd sure love to have him around. Probably a nice "Yin" to Gibson's "YAAAAANG!"

Wouldn't mind

Seems like Clark would be a good bench coach. I'm not sure I'd want to resign him for next year, even as a backup. I want to see what Chris Carter can do at the big-league level, and at the moment he seems totally blocked, with Jackson and Clark occupying the spot.

Agreed

Which is exactly why I think we need to keep him around. He's a great "character" guy, and the kind of tested veteran that our young guys need, I think. I say, tell him that he's not going to get very many (if any) starts, but we would love to have him until the end of his career, and afterwards. Use him as a pinch-hitter.
