Mike Rizzo has now hired away 3 scouts, the latest is Ed Durkin, who's been with the team for 11 years.  Durkin was allowed to leave even though he'd only completed the 1st year on a two year contract.

There's also an interesting quickie about the AFL at the top.  Esmerling Vasquez continues to be on fire this season.  He's gone 4.2 IP in the AFL, all relief, and has an opp avg of .133 with 3 BBs and 4 Ks.  

Max Scherzer is also having a nice AFL, with a .095 opp avg (1 HR), 10 Ks, and 2 BBs in 6 IP.

Does success for these two lead to Juan Cruz or Edgar Gonzalez getting traded?  I'd be interesting what packaging Quentin and one of these two could return SP wise.
