Tracy on the block?

looking at AZCentral.com today I found the following info.

With their eyes on trying to upgrade their pitching, the Diamondbacks have reportedly tried to interest the Angels in Chad Tracy.

Has anyone heard anything on this?  What are your thoughts?  We definately need another starter but is it worth giving up Chad Tracy?

My gut says for the right pitcher it might be a good deal but we could really be making a mistake.  I think if Tracy had a true power hitter in the lineup behind him his numbers would improve greatly.

Good or bad
If we do trade Tracy, we should get Santana. But who is gonna fill his spot? Callaspo? I don't think so. Not really that proven in my eyes. Might as well void the deal with Greeen and bring him back. He deserves a spot at least. And I guess switch Upton to 3B.

See the main post...
I saw the similar reports. I doubt we'd get Ervin Santana though, for Tracy. Put it this way, if we had a 23-year old, earning league minimum, who had just come off a 16-8 season with an ERA+ above 100...would we swap him for Tracy? Hell, no. We'd need to toss in one of our upper-tier prospects as well. Tracy and Chris Carter maybe? Dunno what the Angels need.

Hmmm
Chris Carter would probably perk the Angels' interest.  They have a hole at 1st/DH unless they're going to slide Erstad back to 1st.  I still don't like moving Tracy at this point.

Is this just ...
Are we looking at another situation of everyone getting excited about teams with good prospects?  Santana has been the prepetiual 'on the block guy' for the Angels, so I don't know if someone just thought 'Hey!  Tracy had a bad year, why not?!'

I'm pretty sure every club has a trade rumor regarding someone and Santana.  That's all I got on that subject.
